Question: Can I buy corporte/government bonds using my margin balance.?
Can Corporate Bonds be bought using available margin balance. And if so, what is the typical equity ratio requirement.
(I realize this strategy would not pay if the bond yield is lower than the margin interest rate.)
Answer: Yes. I think govies are 10% and I believe corporates are 50%. It varies by broker.
